Life as a Senior Account Executive in our London Commercial team
Senior Account Executive Neha Taneja takes you through a typical working day in Fishawack Health’s Global Commercial team, based in London, UK.

What does a typical day look like in your role?
Like many teams at Fishawack Health, we start our day with a team huddle in the morning. We align and update each other on the status of all ongoing deliverables to ensure that every member of the team is on the same page and co-producing work. Organization is key in this role, so I am always updating my to-do list, checking correspondence with clients and my teams, refreshing status sheets ahead of client calls, and staying agile with any changes in resource bookings that should be flagged with the resource managers.
What made you choose a career in commercializing life science products and services?
I completed a BA degree in psychology and pursued a master’s degree in business management soon after. With my deep passion for both physical and mental health, healthcare marketing seemed an interesting industry to begin my career in. Specifically, I wanted to work in an industry where I could use my knowledge of neuroscience and market research from my psychology degree and apply them in a commercial context.
What is your favorite thing about being a Senior Account Executive?
I love that I am trusted and given responsibility and ownership over projects. Another key highlight is that this role allows collaboration with multiple disciplines across the organization. All the projects I’ve been a part of involved working closely with the creative team, insight engine, and consulting team. The client services function also gives me the opportunity to build relationships and learn from a variety of people within and outside Fishawack Health.
How have you developed your skill set since becoming a Senior Account Executive?
Great attention to detail, excellent communication, strong organizational skills, critical and analytical thinking, and the ability to problem solve are all key to success in this role. Since joining Fishawack Health, I have taken part in a variety of learning and development programs that have supported my personal and professional progression. A few examples of these include Account Management Training, Mental Health First Aider Training, several LinkedIn Learning courses, and most recently, an 8-week mindfulness course to support my well-being. These training sessions have been beneficial for me to upskill, optimize workflows, and support my colleagues’ well-being at work.
Why Fishawack Health?
My initial impression through the recruitment process was how collaborative the company is—one that promotes professional and personal growth, as well as teamwork. Importantly, there are also many career opportunities, and the chance to work across our 3 core business units—Medical, Commercial, and Consulting—and work in different global locations (COVID restrictions being lifted!). After connecting with the team members in the interview process, Fishawack Health was a no brainer!
If you have a passion for healthcare, have a thirst for knowledge, and want to make a real difference in patients’ lives in your work, then Fishawack Health is a great place to be. From the science behind various drugs and diseases to the strategic thinking that underpins it all, there is always much to learn.
With all that work, is there time for play?
I enjoy training my mind and body, whether it’s at the gym, practicing yoga, or mindfulness. I also love to cook and get creative with my food—I have my own food blog where I share my recipes and creations with other foodies out there! I am also a self-prescribed coffee addict, so I love exploring all the cafes in London in search of the best coffee.
