What does your role consist of and why were you drawn to it?

There are many ways to describe Account Directors. We can be “office firefighters” disarming urgent client matters, or we can be therapists for both clients and our teams when they need to vent their frustrations.

Ultimately, an Account Director’s primary responsibility is to grow and maintain positive client relationships. I think of us as the bridge between ensuring the team has a clear understanding of our client’s needs and making sure we are fully supported, and informed to meet those needs.

I love seeing my team succeed and thrive, especially after delivering a high-visibility project, or after a challenging meeting. I enjoy this sense of responsibility in helping drive Fishawack Health towards future success.

What’s a typical day like?

There isn’t a “typical” day, but my day consists of many different meetings, one-to-one client discussions, internal consultations, connecting virtually with my team and email conversations. Our daily “to-do” list is mostly compromised with urgent client requests.

Why Fishawack Health?

That’s a great question – especially since there is an abundance of agencies to choose from. Fishawack Health is the perfect place for an Account Director who enjoys the challenge of connecting science to strategy and wants the space for personal growth. The company is large enough to provide flexibility for professional development, while still maintaining an agency feeling where you can build strong relationships with your colleagues.

With all that work, is there time for play?

With an infant and a puppy, my downtime looks far different than it used to be. But I still enjoy social distancing at wineries and breweries, traveling to the local beaches, and enjoying special moments with my wife and daughter.
